AWANA (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed)

AWANA is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him.

How does AWANA fulfill this mission? Through God’s guidance and power, AWANA strives to: Reach Kids ...

Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Offered through local churches, community groups and homes, AWANA reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Ministry leaders and parents witness the profound impact Awana has in reaching kids with the gospel and watching them grow as long-term disciples. That’s why so many families and leaders have returned year after year, week after week, for more than three generations.

The children's ministry at MRBC is top notch. We take great pride, care and concern in developing, implementing and maintaining programs that are first class and effective in training our children to become rich in the knowledge of God, fervent in their pursuit, and effective in their service to Him. AWANA is just one of the programs we utilize to encourage our children to serve Christ.

We have a thriving AWANA club due to our many volunteers who glorify the Lord in their dedication to children. Our meeting times are on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:00pm and each club season runs from September through May.

Puggles Puggles recognizes the learning ability of two-and-three-year olds by introducing biblical precepts at church and equipping parents to teach them at home.
Cubbies Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.
Sparks Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Jesus Christ.
Truth & Training Truth & Training engages third through sixth graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible; guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
