Miles Road Baptist Church

Music Ministry

The music ministry of Miles Road Baptist Church has two primary purposes. The first and the most important is to sing songs that keeps Jesus Christ in a central position. Jesus said, “if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.” Secondly, we strive to provide music to help prepare and lead the congregation in corporate worship. The music ministry desires to see people drawn to Christ in a personal relationship with him. Throughout God’s Word, music and worship always go together. We hope and pray that as we sing and worship God in each of our services that you would do the same with us. “I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee; I will sing praise to thy name O thou Most High.”
Psalm 9:1-2

Children’s Ministry

Sunday School

We here at Miles Road believe in instilling the Word of God in our children’s hearts, and we think that one way is by attending Sunday School. We have an outstanding Sunday School Program. Our teachers are loving and caring people who not only teach Christ’s love but show it also. Only Bible based material is taught.

Children’s Church

This ministry is designed to teach our 3-year-olds through 5th graders about worship. It is designed to follow the format of “Big Church.” They have a time of Bible study, singing, and prayer. The children learn church procedures and etiquette and are encouraged to serve in several areas such as ushering. This is all done at their level. Children’s church also includes flannel-graph teaching, crafts, games, or object lessons.

AWANA (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed)

AWANA is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to believing that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love, and serve Him. How does AWANA fulfill this mission? Through God’s guidance and power, AWANA strives to reach kids.Kids represent the most incredible opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Offered through local churches, community groups, and homes, AWANA reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Ministry leaders and parents witness the profound impact Awana has in reaching kids with the gospel and watching them grow as long-term disciples. That’s why so many families and leaders have returned year after year, week after week, for more than three generations.

AWANA is just one of the programs we utilize to encourage our children to serve Christ. We have a thriving AWANA club due to our many volunteers who glorify the Lord in their dedication to children.
